Wassup Misfits?!
I recently observed another birthday...the 1st anniversary of my 21st (Ha!) - a blessing!
I love birthdays, laughing, games, gatherings, cake, celebrating, etc. I adore everything associated with birthdays, minus the gifts. For me, it's more about loved ones showing up to honor the day I was born. In other words, gifts aren't a requirement - I'd rather have your presence.
I've always celebrated my birthday as if it were my last. I treat it like a national holiday - no working, usually a trip is involved, and no responsibilities. It is my ONE day off from everything!
This year was different than any other:
*enter COVID19*
-I had no desire to celebrate nor do anything (who is this lady? LOL).
-I went to sleep before midnight (I usually pray it in b/c it's my personal new year).
-I woke up to texts & calls from "framily".
-I worked a half day (broke my no work rule).
-I did not take the week off.
-I was rested and chill.
-I went to dinner with my husband & kids (paranoid due to Covid19).
-I did not purchase myself a gift.
-I did buy a new stove & microwave (renovating the house).
To the average person, my celebration may be considered lame.
*shrugs*
I didn't do anything out of the norm, nor anything "memorable", but it was a blessing.
Simply knowing that I am loved and wanted is EVERYTHING!
Hello, my name is Corrine and I am mature - nahhh, I'm old y'all! I don't want anything in my life that doesn't nourish me. I am on a quest to rediscover my purpose and prosper. To those of you closest to me, you may have noticed a shift and felt some distance - I am healing- it's not me acting funny and it has nothing to do with you.
Thanks for your birthday wishes, your prayers, and your support!
Enjoy the 23% off for the rest of November.

@Cheshonna Love you Queen !
